Itilekha Podder

Itilekha received her joint Master’s degree from Tu Delft, Netherlands and Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Budapest in 2020 under European Institute of Innovation & Technology (EIT). During her studies, she focused on network media service and application for autonomous vehicle as her major. Her minor was in innovation and entrepreneurship.

In 2020, she was awarded with a merit certificate for her keen sense of responsibility and outstanding dedication to studies by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics at Budapest University of Technology and Economics. For her Master’s thesis, she worked on accuracy and latency measurement of different connection types for real-time object detection using convolutional neural networks in collaboration with Ericsson, Budapest, Hungary. Her minor thesis was related to finding new opportunities to implement the connectivity facilities (3G, 4G and 5G) for drone implementation in collaboration with Telefonica, Madrid, Spain.

Itilekha started her PhD studies in September 2020 at the Doctoral School of Informatics, Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) in collaboration with the industrial partner Robert Bosch Kft., Budapest, Hungary under European Institute of Innovation & Technology (EIT). Her thesis topic is “Development of a method for the deployment of Deep Learning algorithms with applications in Autonomous Systems and Industry 4.0” under the supervision of Dr. Udo Bub, Director of IAI Institute, Innovation and Information Systems Engineering, Faculty of Informatics, Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE). She is working in Micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) process optimization using Artificial Intelligence (AI) at Robert Bosch.

Itilekha Joined the SCAI (Spinal Cord Artificial Intelligence) Lab as an academic guest in February, 2023. Her work is to develop a robust multimodal sensor fusion algorithm for blood pressure estimation in Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) individuals.
