Cailin Ringstrom received her Bachelor’s degree of Applied Science in Engineering Physics from the University of British Columbia in 2022. During the last year of her Bachelor’s degree, she worked as a research assistant from the UBC Robotics and Control lab. Her projects focused on intelligent kidney ultrasound, particularly using AI-based tools for ultrasound analysis and disease detection. She did her final capstone project supervised by an agricultural robotics start-up company in which she developed a vision-based obstacle detection framework including a real-world data collection and labeling system with minimal human intervention.

Cailin began her Master of Robotics, Systems, and Control at ETH Zurich in September 2022 with a focus in perception, learning, and state estimation.

Cailin joined the SCAI lab in March 2024 as a research assistant and will work on projects in assistive robotics and intelligent sensing.
