Mehdi Ejtehadi
Mehdi Ejtehadi received his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and his Master’s degree in Mechatronics from Sharif University of Technology in 2019 and 2022 respectively. During his studies he focused on rehabilitation robotics, human activity recognition (HAR), and health technologies.
During his Bachelor's program, he and his fellow researchers at Djavad Mowafaghian Research Center for Intelligent Neuro-Rehabilitation Technologies (DMRCINT) developed a system based on HAR for telerehabilitation purposes. In 2019, he completed his Bachelor’s thesis where he analyzed the impact of the IMU locations on the accuracy of the HAR system using a mathematical model of human kinematics. For his Master's thesis, he worked on the development of biomechanical features to improve the accuracy of the HAR system. He also developed a post-processing unit to produce feedback for the real-time application of the HAR system on the end-user side.
Mehdi has also been a part of other projects related to the classification of the OCD vs healthy individuals using EEG signals and he has also contributed to a project for breast cancer cell detection using ultrasound imaging.
Mehdi joined the SCAI Lab as a PhD student in September 2022. He is currently working on intelligent sensing technologies for personalized healthcare for spinal cord injury individuals.
