Thomas Weikert
Thomas holds a double degree in Autonomous Systems from KTH, Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, and Aalto University in Helsinki.
Thomas Weikert brings a holistic perspective to the intersection of technology and healthcare. With a background in Computer Science, his professional journey started as a Data Scientist within the industry, where he worked on an outlier detection service for a B2B e-commerce platform. Developing an interest in the application of big data in healthcare, he participated in an accelerator program in San Francisco in September 2022, focusing on wearable technology and exploring research endeavors at Stanford University as part of the Silta program.
Returning from this experience, Thomas expanded his knowledge by joining Cereneo Foundation as a Research Visitor in April 2023. During his tenure, he gained valuable insights into patient interactions and conducted independent research on camera-based assessments for upper limb movement quality. Simultaneously, Thomas took on the position of a Software Developer at Cereneo Clinic, contributing to the enhancement of data functions, and hospital information management systems, and providing support to IT Infrastructure.
Thomas joined the SCAI Lab as a Research Assistant, where he concentrates on developing standardized protocols and data pipelines. His responsibilities encompass streamlining the entire process of data collection, storage, analysis, and presentation of medical data involving wearable devices.
